What size should I get?
I’ve been wanting to get the Rome Vinyl – I’m 5′5, about 130 lbs and I chose this board because I’d be using it for freeride although I’d be in the park a lot as well this season. I’m an intermediate rider, and have been snowboarding for about 5 years but didn’t go for the last 2 seasons so I decided it’s time to get this board, I just can’t decide. I’m having trouble picking out a height, 143cm seems ideal to me while 146 seems almost too big? 3cm doesn’t sound like a huge difference but what would you guys recommend?

They suggest for my weight-range (90-140 lbs) that I should ride a 149? I feel as if this would just tower over me seeing as how I’d be in the park more. Even a 146 seems kind of big. I know I shouldn’t measure it by height but if I’ll be in the park, then I’d want something small… even though the 143 says it’s for 70-110 lbs.

Here’s a formula to help you find your board size. Your height in inches x 2.54 x .88 = your board length. So youre 65 inches x 2.54 x .88 =145.3…… this formula wont work for overweight people. But youre not and youre within your healthy weight range so its a good formula to use for you.
Im 5′6″ 135lbs and I ride a skate banana 148. I find it the best size for me. I rode a 143 GNU carbon for 2 seasons and it sucked. I would loose control bombing hills and i couldnt get any flex out of the board for jibbing.
So seeing that youre an inch shorter than me and 5lbs lighter i think you would be happy with a 145 to a 147. But 145 is probably best.
