This Vac is impressive. It ’s relatively quiet, works great on wood, vinyl, tile and carpet. I have no carpet, but I bet that is too large. It ’s easy to go from floor to carpet-beater and a bar is a nice feature. There is a strong aspiration for its size, is lightweight, easy to clean and the battery lasts. My favorite thing is that this is the site where you can throw everything in the room while you try to empty it! I never use my almost empty tank yet. Bottom line is: this is fantastic and I highly recommend it. Note: it is cheaper on Amazon than it was in Walmart and free shipping I saved over $ 40.

Great Litte Vacuum

I usually do not provide feedback on items; however, this vacuum is so great that I have to take time to say so. It’s cordless, lightweight, easy to work with and does a good job. It’s got enough suction to pick up debris and pet hair but not so much that it will suck up throw rugs or larger objects that would clog up a full-sized vacuum. I use it for all my vacuuming needs. I don’t see a major difference between cleaning with this vacuum and using my full-size, super powerful, upright which I hate working with because it’s heavy, clumsy, and requires much bending and lifting to plug, unplug and move from place to place – not to mention pulling dust ruffles, throw rugs, pet toys, etc out of it’s path of suction. A quick word about the battery in this vac: It lasts about 40 minutes. It maintains full power the entire time. It takes about 3 to 5 hours to recharge. I recharge it about every other day and the vacuum is always ready to go. A very fair trade-off from dragging around a heavy upright.

Best bagless/cordless stick EVER!!

Just received my Hoover Platinum Collection Cordless Stick Vacuum (BH50010)this morning, waited for the battery to charge, and have cleaned ALL my floors, six rooms, battery still good for a few more minutes. (Shows lowest level on indicator.)
I have cats, a messy husband, and a dog.
I emptied the dirt cup twice, battery still good!
In the sunlight I could see even the tiny particles were disappearing, doesn’t stir up dust either. Works like a dream on pet hair. Larger debri like dog food nuggets easy!
I am totally happy with the unit, would highly recommend it for a good quick job vacuum. I suppose I’ll have to drag out the Dyson Behemouth occasionally, but this one is a sweet machine! Well built, easy to assemble, easy to clean out. KFischer

Great cordless vac but battery life can be better

Got my Linx from Costco because I was sick of finding outlets. I also didn’t want a heavy upright as I suffer from carpal tunnel. Figured if I didn’t like this, Costco would take it back 2, 5 or even 10 years from now.

Overall I’m happy with the Linx’s performance. It’s surprisingly powerful as a corless vac, working well on my hardwood floor as well as low-pile carpet. Works well on area rugs, too. It has two power-on settings: sucking only, and sucking with roller on. It’s bagless, and getting rid of the debris from the dust bin is quite easy. Plus, it’s lightweight (around 8 lbs.) and easy to push around.

But… the reason I can’t give it 5 stars is its battery life is not too good. On my first charge I got about 30 minutes of runtime, half with the roller on. But it’s been downhill since then. You should know that I only charge the LiIon battery after it’s been run down, and I leave it in the charger for at least 12 hours each time. But now I’m getting something like 15 minutes of runtime on each charge, which is very disappointing.

So I really wish Hoover had opted for a heavier battery. I mean, I’d gladly take on another pound (or two) if the battery can last an hour or more on each charge.

Still, for a cordless stick vac, the performance is excellent and handling very good. Do note that this is NOT a HEPA vaccum.

Great vacuum, lite and efficient. The battery is easy to snap out and charge; it takes about two hours to charge fully. Its only shortcoming is a short vacuuming time on a charged battery. Buying a second battery for this product solves that problem.
Two disappointments, otherwise okay

I really do not have anything to add to the reviews already, which I carefully read before ordering this.
I do have two complaints though – 1) To charge the unit you have to remove the battery and place it in the charger. A friend has a wonderful
Swiss made stick that is simply placed in a charging station between uses. That is what I expected with this. The stick is intended for a very elderly woman who has poor eyesight and finger movement, so she will have difficulty in charging the battery. I have another such stick made by a competitor that has a simpler plug in charger, I didn’t get another of those because I thought the (nonexistent) charging station would be simpler.
2) I carefully filled out the “warranty card”. I know you don’t have to do this and one could probably do it on line, but for some reason I thought I would help Hoover out with information on me, my income, my interests. I didn’t pay too much attention to the document itself; it took some time to fill out. Then at the end I discovered that not only do they want me to provide all this customer information, they want me to pay to mail it to them as well! I did not like that.
