Anyone still listen to vinyl?
If so why? Also, how old are you? How much of your music is on vinyl? And what types of music do you listen to? And what are your favorite albums you have?
I’m 21 and started collecting vinyl pretty recently. Just trying to get an idea of how many people still use it. I like the enlarged artwork, and the fact that there is a lot of music that is impossible to get on CD that I can get on vinyl. I only have five seven inches, two ten-inches (but one is double, so I guess 3), and fourteen twelve-inches (three of which are double). I listen mainly to punk and metal. My favorite albums right now are:
*Wolves in the Throne Room–”Two Hunters” double LP
*Sake/Submission Hold split LP called “Unnatural Disasters”
*Dytopia–”Dystopia” LP
I’m 16 and listen to vinyl more than CDs or mp3s. I have about 120 records, and 130 CDs – so I consider myself a huge music lover.
As for favorite albums, I find myself listening to Def Leppard – Hysteria, Alice Cooper – Killer, Judas Priest – Defenders of the Faith, and Black Sabbath – Heaven and Hell a lot.
There’s just something special about vinyl, can;t really explain it. I like the feel, the big album art, the sound – also how real it feels. I’m sure you know what I mean.
