Does anybody else listen to vinyl or am I in a time warp on my own?
Cd’s, Tapes (another one to be exstigished ), Minidiscs and vinyl (Funny black 6 to 12 inch disc’s that you placed a stylus on top of the record for it to play music). Am I the only one so far that belive’s that sound repoducton from vinyl is better than cd?. Or am I stuck in the 80’s with no way out!
Dude, you’re not alone. Keep in mind, though, what you’re hearing is a great recording that has that beautiful old rawness of a vinyl, with a slight hint of static and jive in all the right places.
CDs of course have purer sound, but maybe sound isn’t meant to be so pure. Why would we want a symphony to sound better than it’s supposed to sound. Before they invented the field of acoustics, it used to be about the music!
DJs especially will use vinyl far into the future. Every DJ I know has a sizeable collection and most prefer not to switch to digital or CD.
