French song by Sonic Youth.?
I heard a BBC DJ play the song to promote Sonic Youth’s album Dirty, in the 1990’s.
The song is not an album track. I have the Cd. And I don’t think it was even included on the deluxe reissue of Dirty. It was probably only available on vinyl in 1992, or it was probably a radio promo record.
Thurston sings it. The lyrics are totally in French, if I’m not mistaken. The music is a fast-paced rock’n’roll. The vocal melody is just as rapid.
Any idea what that song was? Thanks.
I know I am a little off topic, but did you ever used ringtones off the net?
I just found this site about ringtones, could you take a look please:

We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things $7.75 Jason Mraz’s first set of all-new material in nearly three years, WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS. sees Mraz continuing to tread his own distinctive artistic path, melding a variegated musical tapestry with passionate, personal lyricism. Among the highlights are collaborations with British tunesmith James Morrison and singer/ songwriter Colbie Caillat. “I’m Yours,” the album’s first single, was… |

1000 Record Covers (Taschen 25) $8.50 A fascinating survey of cover art (TASCHEN’s 25th anniversary special edition) Record covers are a sign of our life and times. Like the music on the discs, they address such issues as love, life, death, fashion, and rebellion. For music fans the covers are the expression of a period, of a particular time in their lives. Many are works of art and have become as famous as the music they stand for?An… |

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band $4.89 If it weren’t for a couple of inspired performances, as well as the time-capsule weirdness of it all, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band would be definitively unwatchable. This misguided effort to dramatize the classic Beatles album (the Fab Four had nothing to do with it, thank goodness) also includes tunes from other Beatles LPs, strung together in lumbering ’70s rock-opera style. Peter Framp… |

Concert for Bangladesh $18.40 Before We Are the World, before the Amnesty International concerts, before Live Aid, Live 8, 46664, and all the other charitable and/or political events that have used popular music as their principal draw, there was George Harrison’s 1971 Concert for Bangladesh, a stirring affair released here in a fine two-disc set. The cause–raising money for the beleaguered people of Bangladesh (formerly East… |
