I need Advice on My Heat Pump?
I just bought a house that was built in 1920. The house has a newer Goodman Heat Pump (less than a year old) with a Braeburn Digital Thermostat.
I’ve owned the house for about a week now, and I have yet to get the house to heat to above 61 degrees with outside lows hovering in the mid 30’s. (Fortunately, I only began sleeping here last night).
With the holidays in full swing and the expenses associated with buying a house, I don’t have the extra money to spend on a repair guy to come out, and I purchased the home in an “As-Is” sale, so there is no chance of the seller repairing the issue.
Does anyone have any advice on how to solve this problem? I have taken some measures to eliminate any cold air that may be coming in such as sealing off the fireplaces with foam board, adding sealant to the windows and the house is the original wood siding with vinyl siding over it.
there is a thermostat somewhere which is set at 61 degrees it needs turning up could be on hot water cylinder or on wall in hall or kitchen, timer?
