Some questions for anyone with dominatrix experience?
For quite awhile I’ve been thinking of becoming a dominatrix, and at the moment feel like taking serious action to start doing so.
Here are some of my questions:
- How is a good way to start and learn and practice techniques such as spanking and whipping ?
- I live in California (bay area), where would be a good place to hold such sessions ?
- Is leather quite necessary ? What about vinyl ? I’d imagine leather items that you wear would be hard to keep sanitized after use.
Actually, any kind of information which you can impart would be excellent.
P.S.
I am not going to commit sexual acts.
I realize that I am putting myself in the way of running into dangerous people in such a profession.
I am also not an angry woman wishing to punish men, I simply feel as if dominatrixing may be an occupation that I am able to fulfill well.
I wasn’t sure which category to stick such a question, I thought this one would be best.
Get connected to the local bdsm community. There should be munches, dungeons and workshops not that far from you if I recall it correctly. The best thing is to find a Domme or a submissive that is willing to mentor you and help you “learn the ropes”. Participating in different workshops will also give you education and experience. There are a couple of bdsm sites where you can start doing your social networking such as mydungenspace and mydommespace. (I don’t have personal experience from either of them and can’t say how well they work, I just know that they exist. 
)
What kind of fetish you cater to is really up to you as a Domme. If you don’t want to use leather then Don’t. You are also in control of your safety you make the rules and there are ways for you to make it safer, such as working together with another Domme.
