Fire at my residence?
Hello folks, Unfortunately my house caught on fire from furnace, The fire was under pressure, and smoke went every where, there was extensive heat and smoke inside the house, all my TV’s were melted.
Externally my soffits are covered with smoke and the top vinyl siding close to roof is melted. My insurance company is suggesting to get my dry wall chemically cleaned by sponge and then sealed with certain paint and then painting it with two quotes of paint. When i look at the dry wall it is all black and has suffered a heat and water damage. I can see all the nail pop outs and seams showing through the dry walls and all the ceilings.
I am suggesting the insurance company to replace the dry walls but it seems they dont want to get my point.
Please Suggest
talk to the city fire inspector, some cities do not allow what the insurance company is trying to do.
if the city does not allow this, then the insurance company has no choice but to fix it correctly up to city code.
If that doesn’t work contact your state insurance commission.
