Why Vinyl? When Did This Happen?
I thought vinyl records went out of style with the 8-track and my mom’s generation… why are they suddenly making a comeback? They’re so fragile.. they don’t last as long, don’t sounds as good, and certainly are more complicated to play. So why are vinyl records, in this age of blu-ray discs and iPods, suddenly becoming popular again?
Everything comes in cycles. Today’s teens and twenty-somethings have an insatiable desire to stand out, and if that means retro clothes and vinyls, so be it.
