Why do people not like cassette tapes?
Recently, vinyl has been selling millions in the US and artists have started released records on vinyl. I know vinyl has better sound, but how come cassettes can’t come back into this nostalgic music world? I mean Dinosuar Jr. Is re-releasing “Bug” on cassette and people are already questioning why and dissing the cassette. Why do people hate the cassette? They are cheaper to buy, don’t get scuffed, and you can’t really pirate them which means money for artists.
People who are buying vinyl appreciate the quality. Tapes sound like crap when compared to vinyl. Also, for DJs that still mix with vinyl, tapes are and were never used for DJing. A third thing is the fact that tapes must be rewound and degrade in quality very quickly.
