Why are people going back to vinyl albums?
In the city I live in, I counted 5 record shops that strictly sell vinyl records. That’s not including stores that sell both cd’s and vinyl.
I heard one band released their new music only on vinyl and they hit number one on the charts!
At the front display of stereo and electronic stores, turntable’s are showcased.
Why is there a vinyl renaissance?
Actually, it has to do with sound quality. A perfectly protected/preserved vinyl has better sound quality than a CD does. They’re easily damaged with even light routine use though, not to mention take up more room (and are more expensive to produce) so CDs gave up *some* sound quality in exchange for easy, fast production, easier maintenance/harder to damage and easier storage.
I have both CDs and vinyl for my system and with a high quality sound system/speakers you really can tell the difference.
