Any different on demo:not for sale vs regular for vinyl records?
I just picked up a vinyl record of Aerosmith’s Rocks and it has “Demonstration: Not for Sale” stamped on the back in gold, as well as a rather unattractive sticker across the front bottom of the cover saying Columbia Records, Demonstration: Not for Sale, and the two sides with “suggested cuts” for each side. I’m sure it probably doesn’t make it any more valuable, but was just curious anyway, and what all that’s about. Thanks!

those are albums given to radio stations, to either play on the radio, or use as promo giveaways.
suggested cuts, are just what the label hopes they push
to most people, it means nothing
if it’s REALLY mint, it MIGHT mean a little extra, to an Aerosmith fan (you have to find him tho)
it’s not rare, they gave away thousands of those, by the popular bands
I have a lot of LP’s with that stamp on them
