How can graphics / labels to a DIY guitar amplifier faceplate?

I had years ago at a do-it-yourself-guitar amplifier, for I have some plans for more. I know how to build the box, etc., but I can not figure out a good way, good-looking labels for all controls have on the front panel, ie label the inputs, volume, EQ, energy, etc. I received my custom made with a front looked like, but that's pretty expensive. I would really like to know if anyone has an idea how manufacturers such as Fender, Marshall, etc. get their identification on the amplifier, and if there is something similar, that you do yourself, like a kind of high-quality vinyl stickers, or perhaps with screen printing, stenciled, painted, etc. Any ideas or information as to how other have done would be really helpful. Thanks in advance:)

Anthony, who use most amplifier manufacturers usually a panel of three methods for Labeling; direct screen printing, back or shielded hot-stamped vinyl or polycarbonate overlays and etched aluminum. By setting up and initial costs, none of these commercial methods would be appropriate for your unique project. My recommendation would be to the graphic itself an appropriately colored or transparent substrate To create depending on how you want it to appear, the finished plate. Transfer lettering purchase at your local art supply source in the size and style that you want and apply directly on your carrier film with guides to keep the letters straight and properly aligned. With adhesive-backed clear vinyl from your hardware or Art Supply Store, cover the finished artwork and support. Apply double-backed carpet tape or an equivalent high-tack adhesive on the underside of the thin film. Finally, cut the outer circle, carefully cut the holes for the control pot shaft and indicator lights with a knife, Xacto. Drag the double-backed tape Bracket, and install on your panel. The end result can be read very professional, and will be permanent. Let me know if I can help. Sincerely, Dana
