Dj questions, vinyl or cd’s and good products?
I’m a new dj and I don’t know weather to start off with cd format or vinyl? If you use vinyl can you hook up your dj system to your laptop and select and que tracks? What’s the negatives of using Cd player turntables? Lastly what are good turntables and mixers?.. if there’s any other advice you can give to somebody who’s going to start to dj I would really appriciate it.
Vinyl – cool but EXPENSIVE (vinyl records cost a lot)
Laptop – Easy and cheap if you already have a lot of music on the computer
CD’s – Good if you have a lot of CD’s
Most DJ’s are starting out with a laptop, mixer, amp and speakers now.

A basic mixer will cost $100 or so.
Speakers and amps or amplified speakers will cost a lot for good quality ($500 to $5000)
