New album by The Black Keys out tomorrow…?
Black Friday. The Black Keys!
The Akron duo release Blakroc tomorrow. The album is an experiment in collaboration: Dan & Patrick went into the studio with various hip hop artists, including Ludacris, Mos Def, Q-Tip, and RZA, and Blakroc is the final result. From what I’ve heard, the album sounds kick-a*s. And I hope it proves beyond a doubt the two genres, so often pitted against each other by close-minded fans, can be blended in a creative, electrifying, and intelligent way.
Anyone else excited?
My only complaint–the album is, at least as far as I can see, an iTunes-only release. =( Ugh! I want to pay for my music, I want to support the artists I love, but I want it to be available in CD (and vinyl).
