Help describing something?
I’m trying to describe those curtainy things, but for doors, but are made out of that translucent plastic/vinyl strips that run vertically. I see them all the time in grocery stores – but are staff only. You know how you get those door things with the beads? Like that, but with translucent plastic.
How would I describe that?
I’m writing a short story, and this is the part that it comes into it:
They pulled me up off the ground and pushed me forward, and we all started to walk towards an arch closed in with translucent plastic…????
If you could maybe put it into a sentence, or finish the line of my story?

They pulled me up off the ground and pushed me forward. They forced me through the strip doors – vertical sheets of translucent plastic hanging high from the door frame. They were heavy against my bruised face as we were pushed through them and into an almost empty warehouse.
The additional description you gave works pretty well. Another possibility based closely on yours:
“They forced me through a doorway, from the top of which hung vertical strips of translucent plastic that served as a kind of curtain…”
My only other suggestions would be that you’re using the word “they” too often. In general, you want to try to avoid repeating the same word in a paragraph whenever you can use a different one, and even moreso within the same sentence. It’s not set in concrete by any means, but it can make the word start to stand out and become repetitive. Instead of starting each sentence with “they,” try other forms, such as “I was pulled up…” or “Forcing me through the doorway…”
