How should I make this guitar? Model builders and Guitar builders?
So Christmas is coming up and my best friend is a huge guitar enthusiast. He really wants a Gibson Flying V and since I can’t afford one, I’m making a tiny little model of one (to go with a metalhead sock monkey I made too haha). The body and neck are pieces of pine board I did with a Dremel and the pickguard is a piece of old, broken, vinyl record. How should I do the hardwear though? I don’t know how to make a bridge, knobs, pickups or tuning pegs since it is so small. The whole thing is about 5 or 6 inches long, the body being about 3. It’s about an inch and a half wide. Strings will be jewelry wire and the paint will be easy but how to do the other stuff since it’s so small?

You could always paint on the pickups and knobs. If you want 3-d, then try those pins with small round glass heads (cut off to a short length) for the knobs. The bridge could be made from something metal, like a nail (laid sideways). You could cut off a small section of the nail and glue it in place for the bridge. You could use the small round head pins for the tuning pegs also. There are also small tacks with little round heads. I think they a map tacks or something like that. The problem with those is it may be harder to cut them down if they are too long (they are around 1/4 inch long). If you could find something like soft lead wire, you could flatten out small sections for the pickups.
