anyone planning on going to JETHRO TULL’s 40th Anniversary Aqualung USA Tour?
I’ll have to drive from Ohio to Chicago (unless one of the Canada Shows is actually closer), but on the slim chance I am still in the USA in June… I am so gonna go…. be one more thing to cross off the bucket list!
(Already done Floyd, Yes and Rush, not to many still active Prog Rock giants left….)
MQ2- Opinions on the “Aqualung” album… overrated? 70s Prog excess at it’s peak? Worthy of all the praise?
MQ3: Which do you think is more a “love it or hate it” Prog staple….. Ian Anderson’s flute playing, or Geddy Lee’s “sucking helium while singing with a sinus infection” voice?
MQ4- Favorite track off of each of Tull’s albums?
MQ5- Just found a near mint copy of “Heavy Horses” on Vinyl (only blemish is.. no cellophane) for 2 dollar. Is Peaches a happy boy tonight?

Unfortunately {sorry to disappoint Punch!}, USA / Canada is out of my reach for a concert {the expense of travel and staying somewhere} – and if there were UK dates I’ve missed them, as it’s only Ian solo in the UK this year.
I would have loved to see them in their late-70s to 1982 touring heyday, but I was only born in ‘82!
MQ2: Not my favourite JT album, and I can understand why a lot of people feel it is overrated, but I’d disagree. It can be overplayed and over-praised, with too much focus on the title track, but it does have a great non-obvious concept, and some outstanding tracks. It is always worthy of top reviews.
MQ3: Geddy Lee’s voice. It’s what stopped me getting into Rush.
