what is the best way to prepare for painting wood?
We would have eventually replaced all the wood on our house .. It is a time of turn of the century House and I want to keep the integrity of the original structure intact so that no vinyl siding … that's what everyone tells me to do. But with a $ $ 20,000 price tag will be waiting for it until later time points. I would at least like to refresh the color, so what is the best way to prepare step by step into the house to paint. First, you must be sure you are scraping and sanding lead paint. If you have a child or planning to have one, is this is a bad idea and bad risks. That is why most people call it with hardi plank or vinyl. If you want to remove the paint, try using a pressure washer losing chips to remove and remove lead paint without a brush chalk dust in the air. Wear long sleeves and pants. Wear a mask. Wash your clothes by 2 cycles when you are done, and run the washer through an empty wash well. People underestimate how little rough lead paint is toxic. Basically no amount is safe. I learned the hard way, hence my ID. There are also roll treatments on heavily, apply a gauze and then peeling lead paint from untreated wood leave, but they are expensive, although they contain all the color chips.
