The best grade that a record can receive is Mint, which is as perfect as they day it was purchased from the store. It has probably never been played and may still be in a sealed package. Next is Near Mint. This is about as close to perfect as it gets. This is followed by Very Good Plus, Very Good, Good, and Fair. For every downgrade, the value of the record decreases by 50%.
